It's incredibly helpful to a content author to preview how the page will look when they publish it, how their text sits in the template, in the context of all the other components of the page, especially as with Morello they could be publishing this same page in multiple sites, in multiple templates and page designs. 

Mediasurface takes this preview concept further by giving the user the ability to edit the page in-context, as it will appear when it's published. The areas where the user can edit are highlighted and they can click on a button to fade out those areas of the page that they cannot.
                                             

If that page does contain another item that they wish to edit also, an image or related item for example, they simply click on it, open a new window and start editing that as well.
