During the publishing process Morello notifies people that they have pages to approve or tasks to perform, but through integration to the Microsoft Outlook mail client these users don't need to open a different tool to do these tasks.

Mediasurface has created a tool bar for Outlook that enables users to approve, reject and preview content items at the click of a button. In addition, if the user wants to make a change, they can edit the item in Microsoft Word.

This use of standard desktop tools means that the most qualified person to approve the content item can be included in the process - a member of the legal department for example, rather than restricting this to people who know how to use the system. This frees the process from bottlenecks and enables the content to be efficiently managed.
