The question of website ownership is crucial. The business user has the vision, but the delivery of it – the actual creation and deployment of the web application – is in the hands of the IT department. This separation leads to the inevitable frustrations of remotely delivered projects for both sides. This 6 page paper discusses a new approach to this problem – a solution which both enables the business user to fully participate in the design, creation and management of the website and which satisfies the scalability, reliability and manageability demanded by IT.
